Cancelling Classes, Class Schedules, and Class Types

This guide explains the different cancellation options, from a single class to a time slot, a date range, or an entire Class Type.

Written by Costa Bontioti

📝 Overview

You can quickly cancel classes on a specific date and time, delete an entire class schedule, remove classes in bulk, and more. If you are unsure about whether you need to cancel a Class Type, a time slot, or a class, take a look at the glossary below.

💡 Glossary

➜ A Class Type separates what a class is from its schedule. Example: HIIT is a Class Type.

➜ A time slot is a repeating schedule under a Class Type. Example: a HIIT class that repeats weekly on Mondays at 6:00 pm.

➜ A class has a specific date and time. It can be an instance of a repeating schedule or a one-off event you have scheduled under a Class Type. Example: HIIT at 6:00 pm on October 10 is a class.

Cancel a Specific Class Without Altering the Rest of the Schedule

For instance, you have a weekly time slot for your Monday 6:00 pm HIIT Class Type. You want to keep this schedule and just need to cancel the 7th November class. You can cancel the class straight from your Calendar. For steps, see the guide here.

Cancel a Time Slot Immediately

A time slot is a repeating class schedule. To cancel one of your time slots immediately, use the Cancel option on the desired time slot. For further information, see the guide here.

Schedule an End Date for One of Your Time Slots

If you are planning on removing a schedule from your timetable in the future and know the exact end date, you can schedule the time slot's end date. For example, your Monday 6:00 pm HIIT class is ending on December 15 - you can schedule this from the time slot's Edit Dates option. If you need further help, see the guide here.

Cancel Classes Between Two Dates

If you are stopping all classes, or certain classes, during a period of time, you can simply bulk delete these classes from your Calendar to prevent customers from booking. The deletion will not affect your existing Class Types and their schedules - they will continue populating your timetable after the deletion end date.

As an example, if you are going on holiday from June 1 to June 7 and bulk delete all classes between those dates, your schedule will continue as normal from the 8th of June onward. For a step-by-step guide, see Bulk cancel classes between two dates here.

Cancel a Class Type Entirely

If you need to remove a Class Type entirely, i.e. the Class Type and all its schedules, you can do this by archiving the Class Type. For example, you are not offering HIIT classes anymore, so you need to remove this offering. For steps, see How to archive a Class Type here.
