📝 Overview
You can quickly add a customer to a class from your Calendar, for example when someone turns up without booking ahead or asks you to book them in.
This guide shows you how to register an existing customer, choose how they pay for the session, create a new customer from the class, make sure any required forms or waivers are completed, and keep track of free registrations.
💡 Looking to book a customer into an appointment instead? See the guide on scheduling an appointment for a client here.
👤 Registering an Existing Customer
Customers who already have a profile can be added to a class from the class detail page in your Calendar.
Head to the Calendar ➜ click the class ➜ under Add Customer, search for and select the customer.
💳 Choosing How the Customer Pays
Once you have selected the customer, you will be prompted to choose how this registration is paid for. The options available depend on the customer's memberships and how the class is set up.

Click the arrow to learn more about the registration options
The customer's membership
Customers holding a valid membership for the class can be registered instantly using that membership.
The popup also displays information about the customer's inactive memberships.
Pay drop-in fee
Choose this option if the customer needs to pay a drop-in fee. You will be taken to a page to complete the registration, where you can specify the drop-in fee and enter a discount code if applicable.
Register for free
Choose this option if the customer should not be charged money or a class credit for this registration. This comps the visit and adds the customer to the class at no charge.
💡 For other ways to offer free classes, see the guide on offering a customer a free class credit here.
Purchase a new membership
Choose this option if the customer needs a valid membership to register. You will be asked to select the membership in the next step, and once it has been added, the customer will be booked into the class.
Begin a recurring reservation
Choose this option to book the customer into this session and all upcoming sessions in the same time slot. You will be asked to create the reservation in the next step, and if the customer does not yet have a membership, you will be prompted to add one for them.
💡 To learn more about recurring reservations, see the guide here.
🆕 Registering a New Customer
If the person does not have a customer profile with your business yet, you can create one and register them for the class in the same step.
On the class detail page, click Create a new customer ➜ enter the customer's details and a referral code if applicable ➜ save to add them to the class.
💡 To learn more about referral codes, see the introduction to customer referrals here.
📋 Forms & Waivers
When you register a customer from your Business Dashboard, they are not asked to complete any forms or waivers required for the class at that point. Customers are only asked to complete these themselves, for example the next time they register for a class or session.
The class detail page shows when a customer has outstanding forms or waivers. If your Missing Forms & Waivers notification is enabled, you can click Send Missing Forms/Waivers Email under the customer's name to send them a link to complete their outstanding items straight away.
💡 To learn more about this notification, see the Missing Forms & Waivers Notification guide here.
⚠️ If a customer must complete forms or waivers before their first class, consider sending them a direct link to the class so they can register themselves instead. See how to send a direct link to a class here.
📊 Tracking Free Registrations
The registration options, including Register for free, cannot currently be turned off for Instructors or Staff Members. You can review every free registration at any time using the All Attendances report.
Head to Reports ➜ Events ➜ All Attendances ➜ filter Any Booking Method by Free.
💡 To learn more about filtering and downloading this report, see the All Attendances report guide here.
