📝 Overview
Forms are used to collect information from your customers, such as where they heard about you, health related questions, or date of birth, whereas Waivers and Policies are documents that your customers need to read and sign.
Typically, Waivers are used for liability disclaimers and terms and conditions, and Policies cover privacy policies and terms of service, such as GDPR.
👀 When do customers see Forms, Waivers, Policies?
1️⃣ Policies must be agreed to before a customer can create a TeamUp account; if a policy is introduced after an account has been created, the customer must accept it before they can continue using their account.
2️⃣ Waivers are displayed when making a membership purchase and/or registration. Customers may need to accept the waiver either before or after their purchase/registration, depending on the timings you set.
3️⃣ Forms exist during the signup process, and can be required Before a membership purchase and/or registration (the customer must complete it first), After (the customer completes it afterward), or on a Customized basis per class, course, appointment, or membership.
💡 Forms and Waivers can both be set to Before, After, or Customized timing. See Requiring Forms/Waivers Before or After Registration/Purchase for details.
📝 Forms
This powerful tool allows you to create forms that get triggered when a customer signs up, registers for class, and/or makes a purchase.
From the left-hand menu, click Forms and Documents to open the Forms and Documents landing page, then select Forms.
💡 This has replaced the old expandable menu: Forms, Waivers, and Policies are now separate sections reached from that landing page.
We'd recommend reading our introductory guide for more in-depth information on how forms work, including tutorials on how to add, edit, manage, and delete forms.

📑 Waivers
You might need new customers to complete waivers when they can register for events, or purchase a membership.
Our digital waiver system takes the hassle out of filing paper forms and allows you to create waivers in just a couple of steps: simply add your waiver text and then select which memberships and registrations it should be required for.
You'll find waivers under Forms and Documents ➔ Waivers.

✍🏻 Policies
At TeamUp, we ask customers to accept our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, which cover details of how their data is used and stored.
You might want to add your own policies to be accepted by your customers. The Policies section on TeamUp, under Forms and Documents ➔ Policies, allows you to do just that.
When there's an active policy, customers will be required to accept it during signup, or for existing customers, they'll be asked to accept the new policy next time they log into their account.

🧑💻 Customer View
Now that you've created your forms, waivers, and policies, you might be wondering what they look like to your customers, and when they'll be prompted to complete them. Let's take a look.
✍🏻 Policies
If you have a policy in place, new customers will be required to accept it upon signup:
💡 if you create a new policy, existing customers will be required to accept it before registering for a class. They won't be able to book classes or make purchases until they have accepted.
📝 Waivers and Forms
Waivers and forms can be configured to be required before, after, or on a customized basis around a membership purchase and/or class booking.
This is what customers see when there are active waivers and forms:
