📝 Overview
The Block Customer option lets you stop a customer from booking classes, appointments, and courses themselves. Blocked customers can still purchase memberships and store items while they are blocked.
This guide shows you how to block and unblock a customer, where you can see which customers are blocked, and where the block applies.
💡 Blocking a customer does not remove them from any sessions they have already booked. Remove these registrations manually if needed.
🚫 Blocking a Customer
Customers are blocked from their profile on your Business Dashboard. Once blocked, they will not be able to make any bookings until an Owner, Admin, or Staff Member unblocks them.
Go to Customers ➜ Customer List ➜ select the customer.
Click the Block Customer button.
In the pop-up, click Block.
The customer will now show as blocked on their profile.
💡 Blocking only stops a customer from booking sessions. If a customer needs a break from their membership, for example while on holiday or recovering from an injury, consider putting their membership on hold instead, as this pauses their billing as well as their bookings. See how to put a membership on hold here.
📍 Where the Block Applies
The block applies to registrations customers make themselves on your Customer Site. Your team can still override the block and add a blocked customer to a session from the Business Dashboard.
⚠️ If you take bookings through a Custom Branded App, or through your own website or app built on the API, the block may not be applied there. Check how bookings are made through these channels before relying on the block.
