š Overview
Fields on customer profiles can be completed in three ways: through customer forms, when adding a customer from the business dashboard, or by editing a profile directly.
š” Every customer profile includes a banner linking straight to the filtered list of profile fields under Settings ā Customer Fields.
For more on managing which fields appear there, see the guide here.
š 1. Via Customer Forms
You can include profile fields on multiple forms throughout your customer site. For example, adding them to your signup form prompts customers to complete the information when they first join.
ā ļø Required fields are only enforced for customers who complete the form themselves. Customers added by your staff, brought in through an import, or created before the field existed never see the form, so a required field can still be blank on their profile.
š” For more on creating and managing forms, see the guide here.
š ļø 2. When Adding a Customer via the Dashboard
Fields can also be completed by staff when creating a new customer from the business dashboard, as long as the field is set to be asked at that point.
š” Enabling "Ask when adding customers via the business dashboard" is the best way to make sure staff-added customers don't end up with blank field data.
āļø 3. By Editing a Customer Profile
To fill in or update these fields for a specific customer, head to Customers ā Customer list ā search for the customer ā click Edit on their profile.

Required fields are only enforced on customers who complete the form themselves. Anyone added by staff, imported into your account, or who signed up before you created the field will not have been asked for it.

To fill these in, edit each profile directly, or add the field to a form your existing customers will complete at their next booking or purchase.

Yes. The same field can be included on a form, asked during customer creation, and edited later from the profile. Whichever value is saved most recently is what's shown.
Can I clear a date field back to blank?

Once a date has been saved to a date field, it can't be returned to blank. If a date no longer applies, one approach is to enter a clearly recognisable placeholder date so your staff know the value isn't meaningful.
