📝 Overview
You may want to control how far in advance your customers can book, for example to stop them booking too far ahead so you can still make changes to future classes such as cancelling for holidays. The 'Registrations open' setting lets you do this, and it lives within your registration timelines under Settings ➜ Registration ➜ Registration Timelines.
In this guide we'll cover how to set an advance registration limit, how to apply different limits to different class types, and answer some common questions.

🛠️ Setting how far in advance customers can register
The 'Registrations open' setting controls how many days in advance a customer can book. You can have one advance registration limit for all class types, or create as many as you need for different class types. To set it, head to Settings ➜ Registration ➜ Registration Timelines and follow the steps below.
2. Within the selected timeline, enter the desired advance registration limit in 'Registrations open'.
3. Select the class types it should apply to.
4. Click Save.
🧠 If you set a 7-day limit for your Strength class, a customer will be able to book a Monday 7am class at 7:01am the week before.
⚠️ The registration open time must be greater than the registration close time. When you create a new class type, you'll also be asked which registration timeline you'd like to add to it.
📆 Setting different limits for different class types
If you need different advance limits for different classes, head back to Settings ➜ Registration ➜ Registration Timelines and add a new timeline for each set of class types. Because timelines also include the cancellation cutoff and registrations close settings, you'll either edit an existing timeline and add the class type to it, or create a new timeline if you need an all-new settings combination.
Below is an example of what multiple timelines with different 'Registrations open' settings might look like on your business dashboard. Here, Strength and CrossFit each have their own advance registration limit, while 1-2-1 and HIIT share the same limit.
💡 This is great for special events where you want customers to register well in advance, without affecting your other classes.
🧠 If you want to change how far in advance customers can be auto-registered into classes using the recurring reservation tool, reach out to Support and we can change that on your behalf.
