Does TeamUp integrate with Constant Contact?

This guide explains that Constant Contact isn't available as an integration and walks through the alternatives you can use to email and message your customers instead.

Written by Costa Bontioti

📝 Overview

Constant Contact isn't available as an integration for your account, and it isn't an export option in the Customer List.

There are still plenty of ways to email and message your customers. This guide walks you through each alternative, so you can choose the option that best fits your business.

💡 Looking for the quickest option? You can send broadcast emails and SMS messages directly from Customers ➜ Customer List, with no extra tools needed. See how here.

🧭 Alternatives to Constant Contact

There are four ways to email and message your customers. Each option below explains what it's best for and how to get started.

📣 Option 1: Broadcast Messaging From the Customer List

The Customer List lets you filter your customers, save segments, and send one-off broadcast emails or SMS messages without leaving your account.

  1. Head to Customers ➜ Customer List.

  2. Use the filters to narrow down your list, for example by membership, CRM Status or Total Spend.

  3. Tick the customers you'd like to contact.

  4. Click Contact Customers and write your email or SMS.

Best for:

Sending one-off emails or texts to the right group of customers, without switching tools or paying for an add-on.

💡 Broadcast messaging is available to Owners and Admins on accounts with a payment method on file. To learn more about who can send messages, email limits, and SMS requirements, see the guide here.

🚀 Option 2: Marketing Suite

Marketing Suite is a paid marketing add-on that connects to your customer data automatically. It brings email campaigns, automations, a unified Conversations inbox, and an AI Chat Receptionist together in one place.

To find out more, head to CRM in your account ➜ select Upgrade to book a demo.

Best for:

Multi-step email campaigns, automated follow-ups, and businesses that would like an AI receptionist to respond to enquiries.

💡 To learn more about what's included, see the guide here.

⚠️ Have contacts in Constant Contact? You can bring in contacts who aren't in your Customer List using the Import Tool in Marketing Suite.

Make sure you set the Contact Lifecycle stage correctly, as this keeps imported contacts separate from your Customer List. For the full steps, see the guide here.

🐵 Option 3: Mailchimp

If you already use Mailchimp, you can send your customers to a Mailchimp audience. Export a filtered list from Customers ➜ Customer List ➜ Export ➜ Mailchimp, or connect from Settings ➜ Integrations ➜ Mailchimp.

For automated workflows, such as tagging customers when they buy a membership or updating subscribers when they cancel, you can also connect Mailchimp through Zapier.

Best for:

Businesses already using Mailchimp, or who want full campaign management outside of their account.

💡 To learn how to connect Mailchimp, see the guide here.

Moving from Constant Contact? Mailchimp has its own guide for migrating your contacts across.

⚡ Option 4: Zapier

Zapier connects your account with a wide range of other apps, so if you already use another email marketing tool, you may be able to keep using it alongside your account.

Best for:

Businesses that already have an email marketing tool they'd like to keep using.

💡 To learn how to set up Zapier, see the guide here.

No. Constant Contact isn't available as an integration, and you can't export your customers to Constant Contact from the Customer List.

You can email and text your customers from the Customer List, use Marketing Suite, or export your customers to Mailchimp or a CSV/Excel file instead.

I used to export to Constant Contact. What happened?

Click the arrow to see the answer

The Constant Contact integration has been retired and is no longer supported, so the export option has been removed.

Any of the alternatives in this guide can be used instead, and the Customer List is the quickest way to keep emailing your customers.

Can I email my customers without using another tool?

Yes. Owners and Admins on accounts with a payment method on file can send broadcast emails and SMS messages from Customers ➜ Customer List ➜ Contact Customers.

For the full steps, see the guide here.

Is there a cost to send broadcast messages from the Customer List?

Click the arrow to see the answer

Broadcast emails are included with your account, up to a monthly limit of 50 times your number of customers with claimed accounts (with a minimum of 100). To send broadcast SMS messages, SMS needs to be enabled on your account, and messages are charged at the standard SMS rate.

To learn more about SMS, see the guide here.

How do I bring over contacts from Constant Contact who aren't in my account?

Click the arrow to see the answer

If you use Marketing Suite, you can upload them with the Import Tool and keep them separate from your Customer List by setting the Contact Lifecycle stage. If you'd rather use Mailchimp, Mailchimp has its own guide for migrating contacts from Constant Contact.

For the Import Tool steps, see the guide here.

What's the difference between Customer List broadcasts and Marketing Suite?

Customer List broadcasts are for sending one-off emails and texts to a group of customers, and they're included with your account. Marketing Suite is a paid add-on for ongoing marketing, with multi-step campaigns, automations, a unified inbox, and an AI receptionist.

The two work alongside each other, so you can use both.
