Mailchimp is a marketing automation platform you can connect to your account to power your email campaigns. This guide explains the two ways to get your customer data into Mailchimp: exporting manually, or sending data automatically through Zapier.

🛠️ Connecting manually
You can export your customers manually with the click of a button. Head to Settings ➜ Integrations ➜ Mailchimp to get started.
⚡ Connecting automatically via Zapier
You can connect your Mailchimp account via the Zapier integration to send data automatically and populate your campaigns. Data is passed through a "zap" in Zapier.
💡 Data flows one way only - you can send data to Mailchimp, but you cannot send data from Mailchimp back to your account.

To set up the connection:
Make a new zap in Zapier.
Select the app for your account.
Select the Trigger Event you want to use.
Verify the data contains what you need.
Add any filters you need (optional).
Select Mailchimp as the Action app.
Build the template.
💡 Filters ensure actions only run on the items you want. For example, you might send membership-purchased data only for trial memberships, or run one zap for trial purchases and another for all other purchases. You set a condition, and the zap only continues if it's met.

Can I send data from Mailchimp back to my account?

No. The Zapier connection sends data one way - from your account to Mailchimp - to populate your campaigns. It can't pull data from Mailchimp back into your account.
What's the difference between the manual and automatic options?
