π Overview
If you collect payments through Stripe, those funds are sent to your bank account as payouts. Sometimes a payout may take longer than expected, or the amount deposited may not match what you see in your revenue reports.
This guide walks you through how Stripe payout timing works, where to check the status of your payouts, common reasons why payouts may be delayed or show a different amount than expected, and the steps you can take to resolve payout issues.
π‘ Stripe Transaction Fees are separate from your regular TeamUp fees and are deducted directly from payments and transactions being processed. This means the payout amount deposited into your bank account may differ from the gross amount shown in your revenue reports.
β±οΈ How Long Do Stripe Payouts Take?
Stripe payout timing depends on whether you are receiving your first payout or a subsequent one. Payouts are only processed on business days β weekends and bank holidays are not included.

First Payout
Your very first Stripe payout may take around 5β7 business days. This is a standard verification period that Stripe applies to new accounts before releasing funds.
Subsequent Payouts
After your first payout, subsequent payouts are typically sent according to your Stripe payout schedule (often daily, but this may vary depending on your account and region).
Batching & Processing
Stripe uses a daily cut-off time (which varies by region and account). A payment received after the daily cut-off may be included in the following day's payout batch rather than the current one.
Because of this batching process, a payout may take 24β48 hours to appear in your TeamUp Payouts section after Stripe processes it.

π How To Check Your Payout Status
You can review your payouts directly from your TeamUp dashboard. The Payouts section shows a history of funds transferred to your bank account, grouped by month.

To view your payouts, go to Billing/Revenue β Payouts.
From here, you can:
View your payout history, organized by date
Navigate between months using the navigation controls
See the status of each payout β in transit, paid, or failed
Click Details on any payout to see a breakdown of the transactions included
Download your payout data as a CSV from the Payouts list page or from an individual payout detail page
The date shown beside an in transit status indicates the expected arrival date for that payout. If a payout shows a failed status, click the ! icon next to it for more details on why it failed.
π‘ The Payouts section only tracks payments linked to your TeamUp account. If your Stripe account is connected to more than one platform or business, other transactions may appear in your Stripe dashboard but will not be reflected in TeamUp.

β οΈ Common Reasons for Payout Delays or Discrepancies
There are several reasons why a payout may be delayed or why the amount may differ from what you expected. Below are the most common causes reported by businesses.

Click the arrow to view common reasons for payout delays or discrepancies
1οΈβ£ First Payout Verification Delay
If this is your first time receiving a Stripe payout, expect it to take around 5β7 business days.
Stripe applies a standard verification period to new accounts before releasing funds. All subsequent payouts should arrive more quickly.
2οΈβ£ Stripe Identity Verification Hold
Payments may not be included in payouts while verification is outstanding, and may appear as pending or unavailable depending on your dashboard.
To resolve this, log in to your Stripe account and complete any outstanding verification requests. You can reach Stripe's support directly here.
3οΈβ£ Payout Schedule Settings
Your payout schedule in Stripe determines how frequently payouts are sent to your bank, for example, daily, weekly, or monthly.
If your payout schedule is set to weekly or monthly, funds will accumulate and be sent on the scheduled payout day rather than the next business day.
Check your Stripe dashboard to confirm your payout schedule matches your expectations.
4οΈβ£ Processing Fees Reducing the Payout Amount
Payout amounts reflect deductions for Stripe processing fees. You may see the gross payment amount in your TeamUp revenue reports, but the amount deposited to your bank account will be the net amount after fees are deducted.
π Example: If a customer pays Β£50 and the Stripe processing fee is Β£1.50, your payout for that transaction would be Β£48.50, not Β£50.
5οΈβ£ Refunds Reducing the Payout Amount
If you issued a refund during the payout period, that amount is deducted from the payout total. This may cause the payout to appear lower than the total revenue shown for that period.
6οΈβ£ Batching & Cut-Off Timing
Stripe uses a daily cut-off time to batch payments into payouts. A payment processed after the cut-off may roll into the next day's payout.
Additionally, payouts may take 24β48 hours to appear in your TeamUp Payouts section after Stripe processes them, due to batching.
7οΈβ£ Failed Payouts
If a payout fails, for example, due to incorrect bank account details, Stripe does not retry the original failed payout. Instead, Stripe creates a new payout that includes the failed amount plus any additional funds due.
The original failed payout will remain visible in your payout history with a failed status.
8οΈβ£ Bank Account Changes
If you recently changed the bank account linked to your Stripe account, any payouts already in transit will continue to be sent to the previous bank account. Only future payouts will be directed to the new account.
For more information on changing your bank account, see the guide here.
9οΈβ£ Revenue Reports vs. Payouts
Revenue reports and payouts show different things. Revenue reports show confirmed transactions within a date range, while payouts show actual bank transfers.
Differences between the two may occur due to pending payments not yet cleared, processing fees being deducted, refunds, or date range mismatches between the reporting period and the payout batching window.
π‘ To reconcile your payouts with your revenue, compare the Transactions report (found under Billing/Revenue β Reports) with the payout statement from your Stripe dashboard.
π οΈ What To Do If Your Payout Is Missing or Incorrect
If you've collected payments but your payout hasn't arrived or doesn't look right, follow the steps below to troubleshoot the issue.

Click the arrow to learn what to do if your payout is missing or incorrect
Go to Billing/Revenue β Payouts in your TeamUp dashboard and check whether the payout appears with an in transit, paid, or failed status.
βIf the payout shows as paid but hasn't arrived in your bank account, allow an additional business day or two for your bank to process the deposit. If it still has not arrived, check with your bank directly.
βIf the payout shows as failed, click the ! icon for details on why it failed. Common causes include incorrect bank details or a verification hold on your Stripe account.
βIf no payout appears in TeamUp for a period when you collected payments, log in to your Stripe dashboard to check whether the payout was processed there. Your Stripe dashboard may show payouts that have not yet synced to TeamUp.
βIf the payout amount doesn't match your expected revenue, compare your Transactions report (under Billing/Revenue β Reports) with the payout details. Look for processing fee deductions, refunds, or payments that may have been batched into a different payout period.
βIf your Stripe account has an outstanding identity verification request, complete it directly in your Stripe account. Payouts may be paused until verification is finished.
βIf you've checked all of the above and the issue is not resolved, contact Stripe support here for payout-specific questions about your Stripe account.
βIf Stripe confirms the payout was sent and your bank confirms it was not received, or if you believe there is a discrepancy between what TeamUp shows and what Stripe processed, reach out to TeamUp support for further investigation.
β οΈ TeamUp does not control where payouts are sent or when Stripe releases them. Payout delivery and bank account details are managed through your Stripe account.
If payouts are going to an account you do not recognize, check your bank account settings in your Stripe dashboard immediately.

Why doesn't my payout match the amount shown in my revenue report?
Click the arrow to see the answer
Click the arrow to see the answer
Revenue reports show gross confirmed transactions for a date range, while payouts reflect the net amount transferred to your bank after processing fees, refunds, and any other deductions. The date range of the report and the payout batching window may also differ, which can cause amounts to not line up exactly. To reconcile, compare the Transactions report under Billing/Revenue β Reports with the payout details in your Stripe dashboard.

Stripe does not retry the original failed payout. Instead, the funds are returned to your Stripe balance and included in a future payout once the issue is resolved.
The original failed payout will remain in your payout history with a failed status. Check the reason for the failure by clicking the ! icon next to the failed payout in your TeamUp dashboard, and update your bank account details in Stripe if needed.
