Why does my CSV download open in Safari?
Downloading CSV file opens in Safari browser. Reports not opening in Excel.
Safari renders CSV file downloads onscreen.
To save the file, right-click (or control-click) on the page, and select "Save Page As":
After the "Save Page As..." another prompt will show up allowing you to choose the file name and where you wish to save the file.
Change "Format" to "Page Source". You'll notice the file extension in the file name line change to .csv. Highlight the name of the file so you can rename it:
Once done, you'll be able to open the file using Excel or Numbers.
Or if you'd like to save the file straight to your computer without converting, we'd suggest using a different browser, such as Chrome.Did this answer your question?
