Adjusting the Class Type visibility

This guide explains how to control who can see a Class Type, whether that is everyone, membership holders only, or your business only.

Written by Costa Bontioti

📝 Overview

This feature allows you to choose whether you make classes visible to everyone, membership holders, or to the business only. An example of when this might be used is for a private session, where you only want one-on-one sessions to show to customers with a valid membership.

🛠️ Change the Class Type Visibility

To change the class type visibility, head to Classes/Appointments ➜ Class Types ➜ select the desired class type ➜ click the gear icon on the right ➜ Edit, and select the desired visibility.

The available visibility options are:

Everyone

The class is public-facing and open to everyone.

Business Only

Only visible to you and your staff. A great option if you want to create an event that customers cannot see.

Membership Holders

Visible to customers who hold a membership that entitles them to register for the class.

You can define which memberships are valid from the Settings & Pricing tab of the same class type.

⚠️ If a class type is set to be visible to membership holders only, customers who currently own one of the memberships you selected will be able to view these class sessions in the calendar, but once their membership expires, they will no longer be able to view these sessions.

In the below example, if the class visibility was set to "Membership Holders", this class would only be visible to customers who owned the "Valid Memberships". This can be edited and adjusted by selecting Pricing ➜ Edit.

⚠️ Visibility can only be adjusted for Class Types and not Courses.
