If you'd like to cancel or delete your account with a gym or studio, this guide will walk you through what to do.

TeamUp provides the software platform that businesses use to manage their bookings, memberships, and customer accounts, but each business independently controls its own customer records.

This means that only the business you attend classes with can remove your account from their system. TeamUp Support is unable to remove customers from a business on their behalf.

To cancel your account, you'll need to contact the business directly and request that they remove you from their system.

When you reach out, it helps to include:

β€’ The email address linked to your account
β€’ A clear request to be removed from their business

What if I've contacted the business but haven't received a response?

If you've reached out to the business (either via email or phone) and haven't received a response, please contact TeamUp Support. We'll reach out to the business on your behalf and ask them to respond to you.

Can I have my personal data deleted as well?

If you'd like your personal data deleted from the business's records, please include this in your request when you contact them. Each business acts as the data controller for the information they hold within TeamUp, and is responsible for handling data deletion requests in line with their legal obligations. TeamUp cannot delete or remove your data from a business's account on their behalf.

Will I still be charged after my account is closed?

Once the business has removed your account and any active memberships have been cancelled, no further payments will be taken. If you've already been charged for an upcoming period, refund decisions are made by the business according to their individual policies, so you'll need to raise any refund requests with them directly.

Will my recurring membership automatically be cancelled when my account is closed?

When the business removes your account, any associated memberships should also end. However, to avoid any further payments being taken in the meantime, we'd recommend cancelling your recurring membership first where possible β€” either yourself via your account, or by asking the business to do it.
