You can set up automated birthday notifications to be sent to your existing active customers.

Head to Notifications Customer Lifecycle Customer: Happy Birthday! to get started.

💡 By default, Happy Birthday notifications are turned off. To send them to customers, the business, or both, you’ll need to enable them manually.

💡 By default the notification will be sent via email at 5:00 am in the customers time zone.

They're also only sent to Active customers, and are not sent to customers who are "Inactive".

Trigger settings allow you to change the time the notification is sent if desired. The time show is the time it will be sent in GMT.

You can also delete the trigger if you would rather send a birthday email yourself.

Clicking on any email/s you have in place will direct you to the edit form. Here you can edit the email subject and body as desired.

You can also set different actions for the trigger.

In this example, the customer will be emailed, with the subject Happy Birthday!

It may be that you also want to email the business, to remind you of a customer's birthday that day.

Can I turn off email notifications for customers that are no longer members?

Happy Birthday notifications are only sent to active customers on their birthday.

If a customer of yours is no longer attending events, or doesn't have an active membership, and has become "inactive", they will stop receiving automated happy birthday emails.

💡You can find out more about customer inactive criteria here.
