πŸ“ Overview

TeamUp gives you flexible options for managing your schedule, whether you run drop-in classes, personal training sessions, or multi-week courses.

This guide explains the differences between Classes, Appointments, and Courses, how they work, and how each is priced so you can choose the best setup for your business.

πŸ§‘β€πŸ« Classes

A Class is a group session that customers register for individually.

Each class represents a single session that can be created as a one-off or set to repeat at regular intervals, for example, weekly or bi-weekly.

Classes are ideal for ongoing group activities like yoga, bootcamp, or spin, where participants can join specific sessions that suit their schedule.

Customers register using their membership, or pay per session, so each booking counts as one registration. If you offer multiple classes per week, customers must register separately for each one they want to attend.

Both customers and businesses can also take advantage of recurring reservations, which allow a customer to be automatically booked into the same class each week (e.g., every Monday at 14:00).

πŸ“… Appointments

An Appointment is designed for one-to-one or Small Group sessions and connects directly to your team’s availability.

Staff members can set their available time slots, for example, Monday to Friday between 9am and 1pm, allowing customers to book during those windows.

Appointments are charged per session, since each appointment represents an individual booking.

This option works well for personal training, consultations, or any service that requires dedicated time with a specific instructor.

Businesses can also create recurring appointment reservations, so customers can be booked into a regular time slot automatically (e.g., every Monday at 14:00).

πŸŽ“ Courses

A Course is a structured program made up of multiple linked sessions over a set period.

Click here to find out more about Courses

When a customer registers for a course, they’re automatically enrolled in all sessions that belong to that course, for example, every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from October 13th to October 31st.

Courses are charged per course, not per session. This means the total price you set should reflect the full program (for example, a 7-session course might be priced at Β£70 instead of Β£10 per class).

Courses are best for structured programs, workshops, or training series where participants commit to attending all sessions from start to finish.

βœ‚οΈ Summary

In short, Classes and Appointments are charged per session, and can be made recurring for regular bookings. Courses include multiple linked sessions and are charged per course, making them ideal for structured programs that run over several weeks.

When deciding which format to use, think about how your customers book and pay, whether for single sessions or full programs, and price accordingly.
