As a TeamUp customer, you have your own referral link that you can share with other fitness businesses. When a business you refer signs up and becomes a paying TeamUp customer, you earn a gift card as a thank you, and they get a better start on TeamUp.

🎁 What you and the business you refer receive
You receive a gift card for every approved referral. A referral is approved once the business you referred converts to a paid TeamUp subscription.
Your reward is shown in your local currency:

The business you refer receives:
An 8-day free trial if they choose to start a trial.
Their first month free once they add a payment method.
💡 The free month is applied as a zero-value first invoice when the referred business converts to a paid subscription. It is not applied during their trial.
🔗 Finding and sharing your referral link
Your referral link is unique to you and does not expire, so you can reuse the same link for every business you refer.

🔎 Finding your link
Head to the top bar and click 'Refer a Business'.
Your referral link is shown at the top of the page.
Click 'Copy' to copy it to your clipboard.

From the same page you can share your link directly to:
Facebook
WhatsApp
Email
Text message (SMS)
On a mobile device, you will also see your phone's own share menu, which lets you send your link to any app you have installed.
📟 Sharing in person with a QR code
Click 'Download QR code' to save an image of a QR code that points to your referral link. This is useful at industry events, in your studio, or anywhere you meet other business owners face to face.
🚀 What happens when someone uses your link
Your link opens a TeamUp signup page that names you as the referrer. From there, the business can choose to either schedule a demo or start a free trial.
💡 Both routes count. If the business books a demo rather than starting a trial straight away, the referral is still recorded against your link, so you keep credit for it.
📊 Tracking your referrals
Your Refer a Business page shows:
Referred | how many times your referral link has been clicked |
Approved | how many referred businesses have converted to a paid subscription |
Gift cards earned | the total value of rewards you have earned |
Below these totals, the Referrals Made table lists each business that has signed up using your link, along with its current status. Until a business makes its first payment, its status shows as 'Pending first payment'.

The Refer a Business page is only available to accounts on a paid subscription. If your account is still in its trial, the page is hidden until your trial converts to paid.
When do I receive my gift card?

Your gift card is issued automatically once the business you referred converts to a paid TeamUp subscription. You will receive an email with your gift card, which you can redeem at a retailer of your choice.
I shared my link before the new rewards launched. Which rewards apply?

The rewards are set by the date the referred business signs up, not by the date you generated your link. Anyone who signs up using your link from the launch of the new programme onwards receives the new terms, and you receive the new reward amount. Businesses that signed up beforehand keep the terms that were in place at the time.
Do I still get credit if the business books a demo instead of starting a trial?

Yes. Booking a demo through your link creates a referral record in the same way a trial signup does, so the referral remains linked to you.
Is there a limit to how many businesses I can refer?
