📝 Overview

A discount code can be applied to specific purchases, and you can change which purchases it covers at any time. This guide shows you how to update the existing purchase types on a code and how to add new ones.

🛠️ How To Update Purchase Type Validity

To update which purchases a discount code applies to, head to Discount Codes ➜ Discount Codes ➜ click Detail next to the code.

⚠️ For codes created in bulk, you can edit the settings for each code individually, but not the global settings. To apply changes to all the codes within a group, you will need to disable the group and create a new batch of codes.

✍🏻 Update Existing Purchase Types

To update existing purchase types, click on the purchase type tab and select or deselect the items you want. In the example below, "Courses" are an allowed purchase type, and within that type two courses are being deselected so the code no longer applies to them:

🚩 Add New Purchase Types

To add new purchase types to the discount code, click Edit. Then tick or untick the purchase types you want and save your changes. In the example below, the code applies to classes, courses, and memberships, and it is being disabled for classes and made applicable to store purchases:

Once saved, on the next page you can click the tabs for each purchase type and enable or disable the applicable items, as shown above in Update Existing Purchase Types.
