📝 Overview

Want to see how customers find and buy from you? You can connect your account to Google Analytics to track visits and purchases on your Customer Site and widget.

Google Analytics is a free web analytics service from Google that tracks and reports website traffic. You can connect your Customer Site and widget to either Universal Analytics (UA) or Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to see how customers move through your pages and where they purchase.

You connect to one or the other, not both at the same time. This guide explains what the integration tracks, how to set it up, and where to find the detailed walkthroughs.

📊 What this integration tracks

Once connected, your account sends activity from your Customer Site and widget to Google Analytics as page views and events. The events we send include:

  • Customer signups, when a customer creates an account

  • Page views

  • Membership purchase initiated

  • Membership purchases, both free and paid

  • Whole course purchases

  • Course drop-in purchases

  • Class drop-in purchases

  • Appointment drop-in purchases

  • Store purchases

This lets you confirm that traffic is reaching your key purchase pages and track conversions for memberships, courses, drop-ins, and store products. Universal Analytics uses 'Goals' and Google Analytics 4 uses 'Conversions' to measure these.

⚙️ Setting up the integration

You set up Google Analytics from your integration settings. Head to Settings ➜ Integrations, then connect to Universal Analytics or Google Analytics 4. The detailed walkthroughs cover each step, including how to check the connection and set up goals or conversions.

💡 Step-by-step guides: connect to Universal Analytics here, set up conversion goals here, and disconnect the integration here.

📍 Where to view your data

In Universal Analytics, head to BehaviourEvents. In Google Analytics 4, head to ReportsLife cycleEngagementEvents. From there you can see the activity coming from your account and mark the events that matter most as goals (UA) or conversions (GA4).
