πŸ“ Overview

You can now set customer fields as optional, and that way you can add these fields to your forms, and customers can complete these fields if they choose to, but if they don't they can skip them, and they'll still be able to submit their form having only completed the mandatory fields.

✳️ Setting a new customer field as optional

When creating a new customer field, the "Optional" checkbox is unticked by default, meaning the field will be required for customers to complete. If you would prefer the field to be optional, you can tick this checkbox during setup, which will allow customers to skip the field when filling out the form.

When a customer field is set as optional it will be visible on the form when customers are completing it, but it won't display an asterisk (✱) to the right of that field, which indicates that it is not a mandatory field.

Customer fields with an asterisk, like the one highlighted below, are mandatory fields.
