In this guide, we'll look at how to link existing card details to customers in TeamUp.

What

  • If you've used your Stripe account prior to TeamUp and have stored customer card details, you can ask us to 'link' those details to a customer profile in TeamUp so the customer can re-use them.

  • The existing card details will be saved on the customer profile and will show to a customer on their next purchase/sign-up.

Why

  • Your customers won't need to enter their card details again when they complete a purchase.

  • The customer may not have their card details to hand when they want to make their first TeamUp payment.

How

  • Simply follow the steps below to initiate a 'copy' of card details within you Stripe account.

  • Let our Onboarding team know when you have initiated the copy and we'll do the rest. Any customers already in your TeamUp account will be able to select a previously used card during their purchase/sign-ups.

Copy the card details in Stripe

To initiate the process of linking the existing customer cards, there are a few steps you will need to complete. Please follow the steps outlined below:

  • You’ll be prompted to enter the recipient’s account ID. This is your new account ID linked to TeamUp.

  • To locate your account ID, Head to Settings >> Profile >> Scroll to Accounts section >> copy the ID beside the account name “TeamUp”. If there isn't one showing "TeamUp", please email [email protected] and we can tell you the ID.

  • Copy and paste your new Stripe account ID into the field and click “Continue” and then hit “Confirm request

  • Your copy has now been created and is pending acceptance by TeamUp. This may take up to 72 hours but is usually done much quicker than this.

Now kindly confirm by emailing [email protected] the above has been completed. We'll take it from there, link your cards, and notify you once linked successfully.
