Will the my meeting settings in Zoom apply to meetings created by TeamUp?

Meetings created on Zoom by TeamUp via the integration will fall back to the settings on your Zoom account at the time the meeting was created.

For example, if your Zoom account has "join before host" enabled globally, a meeting created by TeamUp should have "join before host" enabled.

Useful Zoom settings for classes

Can my customers join a class if they don't have the Zoom app?

By default, when a customer clicks the meeting link to join the class, the Zoom app will open automatically if they have it installed on their phone, tablet or computer, or they will be prompted to download it if they don't.

If you want to give customers the option to open the meeting in their browser (Chrome, Safari, etc.) too, you can enable the "Show a "Join from your browser" link" setting by heading to Zoom >> Personal >> Settings - In Meeting (Advanced), as seen below:

Pin video

This useful feature in Zoom allows you to disable active speaker view and only view a specific speaker.

It will also only record the pinned video if you are recording locally (to your computer).

Pinning another participant's video will only affect your local view and local recordings, not the view of other participants and will not affect cloud recordings.

For more information about this setting, click here.

Record your sessions

Read why this is a good idea, here. Recording settings can be found here in Zoom.

Waiting Room

The Waiting Room feature allows the host to control when a participant joins the meeting. As the meeting host, you can admit attendees one by one or hold all attendees in the waiting room and admit them all at once. You can send all participants to the waiting room when joining your meeting or only guests, participants who are not on your Zoom account or are not signed in.

Zoom allow you to adjust the waiting room settings as you please. Here's their guide for more info.
