📝 Overview
Waitlists are a smart way to keep your classes full when spots open up. If someone cancels, the next person in line can fill the spot, so no one misses out on a chance to attend. You'll manage your waitlist options under Settings ➜ Registration ➜ Waitlists.
In this guide we'll cover how to get started, the waitlist settings, how to disable waitlists, and how to override the limit on an individual class.
🔔 New feature update: You can now override the default waitlist limit on individual classes. See the Waitlist override section for more details.
⚠️ Waitlists are only applied to Classes, and are currently not available for Courses or Appointments.
🚀 Get started
To get started, head to the settings page where you can manage all your waitlist options.
🔧 Waitlist settings
On the settings page, you can edit the following sections. Any changes you make will apply to all class types.
Click the arrow to learn more about the waitlist settings

Auto registrations
Eligible customers with memberships, or those attending free events, will automatically be added from the waitlist to a class or event if a spot opens up more than 'x' days, 'x' hours, and/or 'x' minutes before the event starts.
If the class or event is less than 'x' days, 'x' hours, and/or 'x' minutes away, the customer will need to manually claim the spot before it expires.
The waitlist editing page lets you set the cutoff in days, hours, and minutes.
Reserved time
This applies to waitlist spots that do not automatically add a customer to the class. When a spot becomes available, the customer must manually accept it within 'x' days, 'x' hours, and/or 'x' minutes. If they don't claim it in time, it will be offered to the next person on the waitlist.
Similar to auto registrations, on the editing page you can adjust the time frame in which a customer has to accept the available spot.
Max size
You can set a limit on the number of people allowed on the waitlist for each class or event.
The waitlist editing page will display your classes or events and provide dropdowns to set the waitlist limit for each.
🚫 Disable waitlists
If you'd prefer not to have a waitlist for a class or event, you can disable this option.
🔁 Waitlist override
All limits set in the Waitlist settings apply to all classes or events. However, you can now override the waitlist capacity for an individual class.

The default auto-registration setting is 1 day. If a spot becomes available more than 1 day before the class starts, eligible customers will be automatically added to the class, provided they have completed all necessary forms, signed the waivers, hold an applicable membership, and have available credits.

If a spot becomes available less than 1 day before the class starts, or the customer doesn't meet one of the conditions above, the spot will be reserved for them for 30 minutes (as per the default reserved time settings). If they don't or can't accept it in time, the spot will expire and be offered to the next person on the waitlist.
