Send TeamUp data to your favourite tools using Zapier
Have you ever wondered if you can integrate TeamUp with your favourite email automation system or other software? With Zapier, you probably can.
This help guide will explain the principles, what you can and can’t do, and will link to other guides as we build them out.

What is Zapier?
Zapier is connecting software. It takes data from one app (via what is known as an api) and sends it to another app via what is known as a Zap.
It connects with 1,500+ software platforms and counting. Most of the software you use is likely already connected with Zapier and this now includes TeamUp.

What can you achieve with this feature?
This feature opens the door to a lot of advanced functionality, particularly for marketing.
You can take customer or membership information from TeamUp and automatically send it to any number of platforms including ActiveCampaign, Mailchimp, Infusionsoft, and thousands more. We link to specific guides at the bottom of this article for common use cases.
What you do with that data once you have it offers a huge number of possibilities, but some examples are: sending a welcome email series, triggering a text message when someone purchases a trial, creating an audience list in advertising platforms, and many many more.

How do I connect Zapier to my TeamUp account?
You’ll need to create a Zapier account if you haven’t already got one.
Once you have a Zapier account you’ll be able to connect TeamUp via this link, or search for TeamUp here.
A Trigger is the event that starts a Zap i.e. when a customer profile is created, or a membership is purchased. Once you've set up a Zap, Zapier will monitor for that trigger event in your TeamUp account.
We've created triggers based on the customer profile, memberships, registration/class attendance status, and referrals. We’re always keen to learn about new requirements, so please let us know if there’s anything else that would be helpful.
