What does TeamUp track?

Currently we track visits to the TeamUp widget and send events for membership purchases.

What would this be used for?

This will enable you to verify that traffic reaches critical buy pages on the widget, as well as track conversions for purchases of memberships. You can set up goals based on these events which will then give you tracking data. If you want to track class bookings using this method then we suggest using a single class membership instead of non-member/drop-in rate on the class itself.

How does it work?

To enable Google Analytics tracking, TeamUp need to set up something called "Cross Domain Tracking".

Cross Domain Tracking means that visits to the widget will show in a single Analytics account as traffic on your website.

In slightly more technical terms this means that a single session will be used for visits that span both domains.

What we need from you

The tracking is set up using the method described here.

We need 2 pieces of information from you:

  1. Property id (this will look something like UA-XXXXXXX-XX)
Use this guide to help you find your property id.
  2. TLD for your main website i.e. goteamup.com
Note. Top-level domain (TLD) refers to the last segment of a domain name, or the part that follows immediately after the "dot" symbol

If you are already using cross domain tracking we would also need any other domains you are tracking to link it all together.

Once you have your property id and TLD please email support@goteamup.com including this info.
